Georgia Questions and Answersscotland v georgia?Q) loosing allready..shame(i dont think) i got £10 on them going down 3-1 come on georgia
A) 2-0 final score that might shut the haggis munchers up for a while.Going to Georgia?Q) AUG 12 Moved to our new home in Ohio. It’s so beautiful here! The landscape is so serene and picturesque. Can hardly wait to see it covered with snow! God’s Country. I LOVE it here.
OCT 14 Ohio is the most beautiful place on Earth. The leaves are turning all different colors. I love the shades of red and orange. Went for a ride through some beautiful hills and spotted some deer. They are so graceful. They are certainly the most peaceful animals on Earth. This must be Paradise. I love it here!
NOV 11 Deer Season starts soon. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to kill such an elegant creature. The very symbol of peace and tranquillity. Hope it will snow soon......I Love it here.
DEC 02 It finally snowed last night! Woke up to find everything blanketed in white. It looks like a postcard! We went outside and cleaned off the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight (I won), and when the snow plow came by, we had to shovel the end of the driveway again. What a beautiful place. Mother Nature in perfect harmony. I Love Ohio!
DEC 12 More snow last night. I Love it! The snow plow did his trick again (That Rascal). A Winter Wonderland......I Love it here!
DEC 19 More snow last night... Couldn’t get out of the driveway to get to work this time! I’m exhausted from shoveling. Darn snow plow!
DEC 22 More of that white stuff fell last night. I’ve got blisters on my hands from all the shoveling. I think the snow plow man hides around the corner and waits until I’m done shoveling the drive way. CREEP!
DEC 25 "White Christmas" my busted hind-end! More snow. If I ever get my hands on that son-of-a-b*&^#, who drives the snow plow I swear I’ll do something drastic to the dumb %#&. Don’t know why they don’t use more salt on the roads to melt this bloody ice.
DEC 28 MORE white stuff last night. We’ve been inside every day since Christmas except for shoveling out the driveway after every time "SNOW PLOW HARRY" comes by. Can’t go anywhere. The car is buried under a mountain of white crap. The weatherman says to expect another 10" tonight. Do you know how many shovels full of snow 10" is?
Jan 01 HAPPY BLOODY NEW YEAR! The weatherman was wrong (again). We got 28’ of the white stuff this time. At this rate, it won’t melt until the Fourth of July. The snow plow got stuck up the road, and the imbecile had the guts to come to the door and ask to borrow my shovel. After I told him I’ve broken six shovels already, shoveling all the stuff he put in my driveway, I broke my last one over his head.
JAN 04 Finally got out of the house today. We went to the store to get food, and on the way back, a d$! deer ran in front of the car and I hit the stupid beast. Did about $3000.00 damage to the car. Those filthy animals should be killed. Wish the hunters had shot them all last November.
MAY 03 Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the thing is rotting out from all that salt they keep dumping on the roads. Car looks like a piece of crap!
May 10 Moved to Georgia! I can’t imagine why anyone in their right mind would ever want to live in that God forsaken State of Ohio!

A) as long as you loosen the clay and maybe mix in a little bit of top soil , it has been my experience that lotsa plants and trees grow well in GA. They do in NW Ga anyway....try some or all of these, they are low maintenance and only require watering and maybe a lttle weeding from time to time....monkey grass, cedar trees, junipers, dogwoods, calla lillies (almost indestructible), azaleas, flowering pear trees, lillies, daffodils, marigolds, prince william, hostas, mums, kentucky bluegrass, dahlias, snapdragons, all kinds of clover, gardenia, magnolias, weeping willow.....the list goes on and on. trial and error have been my best teacher as well as old gardening magazines and catalogs that i find at yard sales for next to nothing....just jump into it .....gardening and nurturing your plants is soooo rewarding and relaxing just watch out for the freakin poison ivey, oak and sumac,,,,,,good luck
Georgia....?Q) what city in Georgia has the most deepest sounding accents?
A) anybody from here has an accent. but i am from s. Georgia, near waycross, where the fires are burning . most south GA. folks have very heavy accents, especially if you are native to here.Georgia???Q) What was the origin of the colony name. Why was this name given to the colony? (georgia)
what were the prodcts and industries?
A) Liz Sonneborn gives a really good early history and it is a comfortable read. She even gives a picture of the authorizing charter document where England's king George II established it in 1732. The Smith book is also a good source, if you can find it. In Smith you will discover (p. 29) that one of the early exports of Georgia was slaves to the West Indies islands--Native Americans were bought and sold.Georgia traffic...why?!?!?!?!?!?Q) I just got back from Florida, which is where I went on vacation. I've always gone by automobile, thus I must always travel through Georgia.
The thing I don't understand is Georgia traffic. I can be driving seventy or eighty miles per hour on the interstate, and then everything comes to a total and complete stop. I expect to see a wreck or something of that nature, and when I get to the source of the slow-down, all I see is a cop on the side of the road writing someone a ticket.
Do Georgians think they have to go under ten miles per hour to prevent getting a ticket?!?!
One time it wasn't even due to a cop...there was a dog walking on the side of the road!!!!!
Did everyone in Georgia have to stop and watch the nice little doggy?!?!?!?!?!
I'm fed up with it! I hope I'll NEVER have to drive through Georgia again. And if that means no more vacations, so be it.
Now...my question is this, to whomever; What causes all the stand-stills on Georgia interstates?
Cgriffin1972, what are you talking about?
A) Hee-Hee. Welcome to our world of daily travel. It does get frustrating. Every major city, in this country, is the same. Amazing how they named it rush hour when you creep 5 mph huh? I remember when the interstate was being built through my town. We thought it was the greatest thing. Now, it's a nightmare everywhere. Another great idea, bypasses around the bottlenecks of cities, has gone bad. They built shopping centers, malls, communities on them, only to make bypasses worse. Now we need bypasses around the bypasses.
The term "rubberneckers" coins people who slow down to see what is going on when they need to concentrate on the traffic surrounding them. More accidents happen when "rubberneckers" hit their brakes to see something they don't have a dime in. I watched 5 cars sideswipe a firetruck coming off a ramp on I-285, in Atlanta, that was trying to get to another accident ahead of them that also had multiple vehicles involved in it. Slowing down is good so you don't add to the problems, but not paying attention when you do slow down, certainly adds more. Be safe people. Stay calm, thank your stars it's not you in that accident and try to be sensitive to your surroundings. Be nice to one another out there. It could save your life. Drive safely!Georgia College and State University Vs. University of West Georgia?Q) I am trying to decide which university to go to; I know that Georgia College and State University is a much better school than West Georgia, however, I live like 10 minutes away from West Georgia (and I am so ready to leave, I've been here my whole life) and if I choose Georgia College then I will have to take a semester off to save up for dorms; is it worth it?
A) You can also see some other univeristy also..try the following link to get help..thanmks..Salt Iodination Law in Georgia?Q) I have known some days ago that in the Republic of Georgia, in my home country, it is mandatory use of iodinated salt. There is a law approved by the Parliament of Georgia and the import and distribution of any other salt is prohibited. I don’t know why such a decision was made. I didn’t participated in this. I’m ordinary medical doctor and trying to make my living with medical translations. Reason of the decision was quite wide spread of the goiter that was diagnosed by ultrasound examination. Though as far as I know it, never was made thorough analysis of water content of the Iodine. It’s well known that there is the mountain region in Georgia (Svanetia), where endemic goiter is widely spread. The cause is insufficient Iodine consumption with water and food. As I think wide spread of the goiter all around the Georgia has other reason, namely radiation, not only as the consequence of Chernobyl Disaster, but also for the Russian Nuclear Tests, site of which is out of the ranges of Georgia. I know Russia wouldn’t acknowledge this fact.
Now I have question to you: is the total use of iodinated salt harmful for the population of Georgia?
A) I am sure that you know that Iodized salt is known to protect against goiter and radiation absorption. In the U.S. Iodized salt was made available to prevent goiter and Graves Disease. When Chernobyl first happened Iodine was given to children throughout Europe to prevent absorption of radioactive caesium from the disaster.
I can not think of any other reason Georgia would pass such a law.Georgia Probation Revocation?Q) My husband has completed two years of probation on a ten year sentence in Georgia. Upon deployment to Iraq with the FL Air National Guard his PO filed for the issuance of a warrant for failure to report August 06 and leaving the State of Georgia. The PO had knowledge of his deployment months before his departure. I contatced the Chief Superior Judge and made him aware of the situation, he then instructed the Judge who signed the warrant to vacate the wrrant in which she did. Upon the PO learning that the warrant had been vacated, she contacted the sheriffs office to arrest my husband. He was held until she got a second warrant for the same charge and returned to Georgia on Dec 15th. His first revocation hearing was January 4th. The Judge made the statement, "Either he is going to Iraq or going to prison!" How can a judge base a revocation on my husband's military status? She would not listen to my husband's attorney. It is very clear that she is biased. Any info will be appreciated.
A) So let me get this straight, he was deployed to Iraq after he completed probation? If his PO issued a warrant for failure to report he apparently did not have his probation complete.
And then a Judge signed to vacate the warrant but it was reactivated by the PO?
This warrant should be taken under advisement until his tour of duty is over unless it is a felony charge.

http://www.dmv.org/ga-georgia/teen-drivers.phpGeorgia or Kentucky? Why?Q) Georgia, by far! It's a great state!
Georgia has the ATL, which is a phenom in and of itself. Truly a booming, cosmopolitan city with beautiful, well-manicured neighborhoods, nice clubs, and even nicer natives. But what surprised me was the fact that most people know what turn signals, polite driving, and yielding consist of in ATL. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if I moved there! Oh yeah, and talk about the women...tied with Texas for the most beautiful I've ever seen!
Kentucky is my native state, much against my will. Even in the small towns, I can not say that most people are polite, inside and outside of their cars. In fact, many people are quite standoffish and outright rude if you don't believe as they do (I don't have a KY accent, but I am still very conservative on economic and social issues and attend church every weekend.) Manners and southern hospitality just aren't as prevalent here, and even our cities are not as booming and cosmopolitan as parts of Georgia.
Oh yeah, the North GA mountains beat the East KY mountains hands down. They're prettier and cleaner year-round.
grayshore: Ok, so I'm sorry you don't like it.
By the way, Lone Star (??) and I actually ARE NOT the same.
A) I can't think of one good thing about Kentucky...except Chicken.Georgia Trivia Questions 5.?Q) 1. What county claims to be "the bird dog capital of the World"?

5. Cotton
You're welcome !Is there a State Of Georgia database that lists positive drug tests for perspective employees for view by?Q) I put in for a State of Georgia position at one agency. I recieved a letter stating that the offer of employment was withdrawn based on a positive drug test and that I should not seek State Of Georgia employment at any agency in Georgia for a period of 2 years. My question is, will my positive drug test be listed in a database or registry somewhere? How can they tell if I apply with another State Of Georgia agency? With HIPPA guidelines, aren't my drug tests private. If I apply with another State Of Georgia agency, and I get the job, and my drug test is negative for them, will I be fired if they look at a database and determine that I had a previous positive drug tests with the State Of Georgia, even though I did not get the job. Point Blank- Is my name written down somewhere in the State Of Ga. database disqualyfying me for a State position for 2 years? Please list your sources, not just what you think. Need to know as soon as possible. Help!!!!
A) Technically no, that information is supposed to be private and seen only by the party paying for the test, you can't even see the results.
But in today's world there is no guarantee that it will stay private, especially when we're talking about a government test.
