how long untill there are quantum computers for sale?

Q) how long untill the common humain can buy a quantum computer? they figuered out some parts of the quantum computer but some look impossible to create one thing is for sure if they make one it will be a milion times faster then the strongest pc on earth or it wont take long to get there cause a quantumcomputers capacity would rise exponentialy eg: normal pc: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,.... quantum pc 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,... (numbers represent computers capacity evolvement trough the years, witch isn't completly correct cause normal computers increase there capacity exponentialy too, but thats becouse we build em double as fast as the last one) (think about that law that sais: computer capacity will double every year) they had to edjust it to 1.5 year :) lol question: how long untill afordable quantum computers will be for sale. answer in a date, eg: 2300

A) They are only theoretical devices which are technically impossible. Insanely complicated and impossible to program for. They will not be any faster except for number crunching on a vast scale. If they ever get made, which no-one is trying to do, they will be in closed environments to escape quantum viruses. How would you get rid of one of those?

A) Watches make a snappy jewellery item and a major element of blingage, so that is doubtful. You can't think of these things in terms of supply and demand - that is now quite primitive economic theory. We live in an advanced capitalist state...

Has apple's Mac computers popularity grown/more market share or is it on the decline?

Q) A family friend said that if it wasn't for the ipod then the apple computer wouldn't be around still. I was under the impression the computer sales were increasing steadily before the ipod was released? Has the apple inc's computer (mac computers) share gone up or stayed the same or even decreased? What are peoples view's on apple's future, more so the apple computers future. Since the dropped the "computer" moniker from their official title do you think they will stop producing apple computers eventually?

A) Apple's sales are increasing at a much faster rate than the computer industry as a whole. They have been selling record breaking numbers of Macs year on year for the last several years. Recently Apple's stock value rose higher than Dell's where they are now the #3 computer company. The iPod certainly got Apple noticed and had people looking at their equipment again, but things were improving long before that when Steve Jobs returned to the company. The original Imac was probably their biggest success since the original Macintosh, and that was long before the iPod. There are a couple of reasons for the name change to Apple, Inc. Firstly, Apple decided that if it couldn't break Microsoft's stranglehold in the industry then it would create a whole new market based around the Macintosh as the digital hub of a series of lifestyle products. They don't only work with Mac's but they often do more, and work flawlessly with them. Secondly, Apple had a long running dispute with the Beatles over copyright issues with the Apple company name. Recently those differences were settled out of court to the satisfaction of both groups involved, and gave Apple full control over their name. The change reflects the changing product range and because there were no longer any legal barriers to do so. The biggest factor in Apples resurgence, I think, has been the move to open company branded and owned stores all over the world. People can now go get a hands on, hard sell free, look at anything they offer. Previously larger retailers treated Apple products like lepers and their untrained sales staff steered people towards PC gear they knew something about. Marketshare is a misleading concept. There are some markets Apple doesn't even try to enter, like corporations. In the markets that Apple does compete in, their market share has rarely dropped over the years (even when they nearly went under in the early 90's) and these days is increasing at a fast rate of knots. Apple sells more consumer laptops than anybody. In other markets, such as publishing, media production (film, music, arts), education, graphics design, they are either the market leaders or dominate their sector. Apple is also branching out into areas it has never ventured before, like servers and biotech. Even with Vista stalling at the starting gate, Microsoft isn't going to go away anytime soon, but Apple is on the up in a major major way. Their star is on the rise again.

A) Yes it is, how can anyone leave a laptop in the car, or be totally lacking in security, especially if you work for the M.O.D. where you would have thought that would be paramount! Still this Government provides duff equipment for the armed forces so perhaps the laptop is duff as well!!!

Does anyone know what the after sales service is like for ASUS computers?

Q) I am thinking of buying an Asus following a nightmare 8 months with a new Sony - finally being reimbursed. But in case I encounter the same problems, I would like to ensure Asus has a good service.

A) Asus support is pretty good, but Hewlett Packard support is the best, they also make darn cool computers too.

Why isn't there an Apple Airport Extreme on sale in the UK?

Q) I want to buy an Airport Extreme, but I can't find it for sale on the Apple UK website. It's on the website, but not in the Apple store, and not on http://www.ebuyer.com/ (where I buy most of my computer equipment). It's not even on shopping.com! Does anyone have any idea why? NB. I would really love a link to, say, an online news article explaining why or something with further information. Thanks! A) Easiest way, check out your competitors. They will have those forms readily on hand. Just have an attorney modify it for your needs.

A) If you don't want bogus answers, don't use the wrong tool for the job you're trying to do. This is OBVIOUSLY not the forum for buying and selling your stuff. Try eBay. Abusing this forum for what you're trying to use it for is...well...pretty low.

A) I don't think you can get used government computers. They usually destroy the hard drives when they're done with them so noone can get any info off of them. But, if you're looking for cheap computers you can try www.tigerdirect.com. I get stuff from them all the time.

A) if you are a student you can get them a lot cheaper. otherwise no.

Will the current computers for sale at the apple stores work with the new .Mac OSX Leopard Operations System?

A) Of course! Mac OS X Leopard will definately run on the following systems: ALL new Macs with Intel processors ALL PowerMac G5 systems, inlcuding the iMac G5 Systems that it MIGHT run on: PowerMac G4, iMac G4, and the iBook G4 and PowerBook G4 Possibly even some PowerMac G3 systems When Tiger (the current OS) was introduced, Apple sold it at $130 in the US. I'm guessing Leopard will be about the same price. Hope this helped!
